This blog was created to share information, resources, news, profesional development, and workplace issues to people who work in the developmental disability field.
Although several sites exits for special education, general disabilites, and family issues, I found very few blogs that focused on issues that pertained to staff training, working with families, adulthood, leisure, career advice, teaching techniques understanding specific disabilities, laws and guidelines beyond the age of 22.
Developmental Disability Professional is geared towards administrators, supervisors, clinicians, direct support professionals and families seeking additional information. It is my hope to develop resources that will help people think, grow and understand as they provide services to people with developmental disabilities
